Illinois delays 0.2% crypto tax until July 1
The sides agreed the delay runs through July 1, contingent on court approval, to allow both sides to focus on the ongoing legal dispute.
Illinois agreed to delay a 0.2% crypto tax for six months, pushing it to July 1, according to CoinDesk.
CoinDesk reports that both sides also tied the postponement to court approval.
The deal is intended to give the state and the crypto industry time to focus on the existing court battle over the tax.
