New York and Wyoming regulators sign MOU to coordinate crypto oversight
The memorandum of understanding covers licensing, regulator exams, and potential enforcement for crypto firms operating in both states.
New York State Department of Financial Services and the Wyoming Division of Banking signed a memorandum of understanding to coordinate oversight of cryptocurrency companies that operate in both jurisdictions, according to Cointelegraph.
The agreement would let the regulators share supervisory information, streamline licensing reviews, and coordinate examinations and potential enforcement actions involving digital asset firms.
The MOU applies to firms already regulated in either state and to companies seeking approval in both New York and Wyoming.
