New York Life Investment Management takes majority control of Invictus Capital

Mortgage News Daily reports that New York Life Investment Management is taking majority control of Invictus Capital Partners, the company behind Verus.
The outlet says New York Life Investment Management manages $838.0 billion in assets, and it noted Verus is already seeing its biggest securitization year yet.
According to the update, Verus has about $8.9 billion across 14 deals in 2026.
Mortgage News Daily also flagged agency-related pricing changes, saying FHFA Director Bill Pulte’s updates referenced Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac moving to one pricing grid with VantageScore joining an existing FICO Classic grid.
