Stockdale Capital Partners launches a credit strategy for distressed properties

The Los Angeles firm targets loans ranging from $15 million to $75 million and plans to fund them with senior bridge loans and mezzanine loans, plus note purchases and special situation investments.

Los Angeles-based Stockdale Capital Partners is launching a credit strategy aimed at financing distressed real estate assets after running into a limited supply of sub-$50 million loans for struggling property types, according to Bisnow.

The firm, which is both a lender and owner with $3 billion in assets under management, plans to offer senior bridge loans and mezzanine loans, along with note purchases and special situation investments across the U.S., the outlet reported.

Bisnow said the strategy targets loans between $15 million and $75 million for borrowers needing flexible debt outside the company’s traditional equity-focused business model, after increasing requests from the market.
