EURUSD sinks to a new multi-month low amid euro debt fears

The pair ended September down 2.5% and early Monday trading extended a four-week selloff, with focus on supports near 1.1130 and 1.1098.

Euro slid to a new multi-month low in early Monday trading, as sentiment deteriorated on growing concerns that the bloc’s debt crisis could deepen. Action Forex points to a sharp selloff in French government bonds and fears that France may struggle to manage its budget deficit.

Action Forex also linked the negative backdrop to political uncertainty ahead of the 2027 election, saying it adds to worries about crisis spillover risk.

On the technical side, the euro remains on a bearish daily trend after a steep four-week decline, and the article notes that oversold RSI signals bears may pause. It highlights key support levels near 1.1130, and 1.1098, with a break below that area raising attention to the psychological 1.1000 level.
