FinCEN withdraws unhosted wallet reporting proposal and crypto-mixing finding
FinCEN said it will continue monitoring crypto mixers and could pursue action again in the future.
The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, FinCEN, withdrew its 2020 proposal to require reporting for unhosted crypto wallets.
FinCEN also withdrew its 2023 finding that crypto mixing is a primary money laundering concern.
In a statement, the agency said it will continue monitoring mixers and may take action again.
