Greenfield Capital files supervisory complaint over Safe governance

The investor said it has tried for months to engage on Safe Ecosystem Foundation board changes before turning to Switzerland’s foundation watchdog.

Greenfield Capital, an investor in Safe, has filed a supervisory complaint with Switzerland’s Federal Supervisory Authority for Foundations (ESA) to push changes to the Safe Ecosystem Foundation’s board, after earlier engagement did not resolve its governance concerns, Cointelegraph reports.

In an open letter to the Safe community on Sunday, Greenfield founding partner Jascha Samadi said the complaint follows months of engagement, and he described the firm’s concerns as increasing since early 2025.

Samadi cited Safe’s performance relative to the broader market and what he said was a lack of independent oversight, which he linked to the governance issues he raised with the foundation.

The complaint seeks board changes aimed at addressing those concerns, according to Cointelegraph.
