OKX, ICE unit files with SEC to launch tokenized US stock platform
The proposed TSV would cover tokenized shares from more than 60 US-listed companies and is planned under the SEC’s new innovation exemption.
OKX and Intercontinental Exchange, the parent of the New York Stock Exchange, have filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission to launch a tokenized securities venue for trading tokenized shares. Cointelegraph reports that the filing was submitted by OKXICE LLC, an OKX-ICE joint venture.
The platform is intended to offer tokenized shares tied to more than 60 companies listed on US stock exchanges, according to the report. The filing is planned to be operated under the SEC’s recently introduced innovation exemption.
Cointelegraph says OKXICE co-chair Andrew Cuomo described the step as aimed at expanding market access through a more global, always-on trading model. The article also notes the filing is part of a broader effort to build a tokenized stock trading venue.
