Sydney holiday expected to thin AUD liquidity on Oct. 5

Forexlive said the Australian Stock Exchange remains open, but AUD trading liquidity may be lower due to the absence of Sydney.

Forexlive flagged that Monday, Oct. 5, 2026, includes a Sydney holiday that could affect Australian dollar trading conditions.

While the Australian Stock Exchange is expected to operate as normal, the outlet said AUD liquidity may be somewhat thinned out because Sydney is closed.

The source also noted that its calendar coverage includes New Zealand and Australia items, with the intention of reducing confusion caused by similar formatting on event flags.
