Glamsterdam upgrade goes live on Ethereum Sepolia testnet
On Sepolia, early blocks began a gradual gas-limit increase from 60 million toward a 200 million client target, while the first two upgraded epochs finalized, according to The Defiant.
Ethereum’s Glamsterdam upgrade has gone live on the Sepolia testnet, in a final major rehearsal ahead of an eventual mainnet activation, according to Cointelegraph.
Cointelegraph reports that the upgrade is intended to advance Ethereum’s layer 1 scaling roadmap, including proposer-builder separation, block-level access lists, and changes to gas pricing to better reflect execution costs.
The Defiant adds that on Sepolia, the first two upgraded epochs finalized as early blocks started a gradual gas-limit climb from 60 million toward a 200 million client target.
