Securitize shares surge on LG CNS partnership ahead of token rules

Securitize rallied nearly 8% to about $12.60 after announcing its LG CNS partnership, with South Korea set to roll out new rules for tokenized stocks, bonds, and funds starting February 2027.

Securitize shares rose nearly 8% in early trading after the company announced a partnership with South Korean technology firm LG CNS, positioning it for a new regulatory framework for tokenized securities. The partnership comes as Seoul prepares to introduce rules covering tokenized stocks, bonds, and funds beginning in February 2027, according to Cointelegraph.

Cointelegraph said Securitize, which trades under ticker SECZ, reached around $12.60 in the morning before later giving back some gains. The outlet added that the company started trading on the New York Stock Exchange in July after completing its merger with special purpose acquisition company Cantor Equity Partners II.
