Trent shares surge 10% after Q2 business update
The stock hit the BSE upper circuit at ₹2,832.50 after opening at ₹2,800, with the company reporting 23% year-on-year Q2FY27 revenue growth.
Trent shares rose 10% to reach the upper circuit level of ₹2,832.50 in early BSE trading on Tuesday, October 6, following a business update for the September quarter of FY2026-27 (Q2FY27). The stock opened at ₹2,800 against a previous close of ₹2,575 and later extended gains to an intraday high of ₹2,901.20, climbing nearly 13% during the session.
According to an exchange filing dated October 5, Trent said its Q2FY27 standalone revenue from operations was ₹5,788 crore, up 23% year-on-year. For the first half of FY27, revenue rose 21% year-on-year to ₹11,454 crore.
The filing also stated that revenue from the sale of merchandise, excluding other operating income, grew 23% for the quarter and 21% for the half-year ended September 2026.
Trent further said it opened its 1,000th Zudio store, and that as of September 30, 2026, its portfolio stood at 1,342 stores across Westside and Zudio.
