UAD 3.6 becomes mandatory for new appraisal submissions on Nov. 2, 2026
HousingWire reports UAD 2.6 submissions after Nov. 2, 2026 will be rejected with a fatal message and “Not Successful” status.
HousingWire reports that the Uniform Appraisal Dataset 3.6, or UAD 3.6, will become mandatory for new appraisal submissions to the Uniform Collateral Data Portal starting November 2, 2026.
The outlet says any new UAD 2.6 submission after that date will be rejected, triggering a fatal message and a “Not Successful” status.
HousingWire adds that lenders have been able to scale production in advance, with broad production open since January, allowing submissions using either UAD 2.6 or UAD 3.6 ahead of the cutoff.
The article urges lenders to validate end-to-end workflows and increase controlled production during the transition window to reduce disruption when the mandate arrives.
