Arcana integrates portfolio intelligence with Claude via connector
The integration lets hedge funds and asset managers query institutional portfolio data through natural language, with outputs grounded in existing portfolio and research information.
Portfolio intelligence platform Arcana has launched an integration with Claude, aiming to give hedge funds and asset managers access to portfolio, risk, performance, and research data through the AI platform.
According to Hedgeweek, the integration is available via Claude's official Connector Directory and uses Arcana's Model Context Protocol connector, which allows investment professionals to query institutional portfolio data using natural-language prompts.
The system is designed to ground Claude's responses in portfolio information and research already used by investment teams, with use cases that include examining risks and exposures, assessing recent performance, analyzing themes and crowding, comparing positioning against benchmarks, and retrieving relevant research and investment notes.
Investment professionals can also review proprietary materials such as price targets and conviction scores, and explore potential hedging opportunities, Hedgeweek added, citing Arcana co-founder and chief executive Rich Falk-Wallace on the importance of AI usefulness being tied to its ability to rely on portfolio data.
