TCS shares rise ahead of Q2FY27 results, dividend in focus
Shares climbed to an intraday high of ₹2,142 after opening at ₹2,098.80, with expectations for a second interim dividend alongside Q2FY27 results.
Tata Consultancy Services shares rose nearly 3% in morning trading on 8 October on the BSE ahead of the company’s September quarter results for Q2FY27. The stock opened at ₹2,098.80 versus the previous close of ₹2,084 and later hit an intraday high of ₹2,142, according to LiveMint Markets.
LiveMint Markets reported that Motilal Oswal Financial Services expects TCS to post 0.5% quarter-on-quarter constant currency revenue growth, with gains in BFSI and in “technology and services” likely offset by softness in the consumer vertical.
The brokerage also projected TCS’s EBIT margin to expand by nearly 100 basis points quarter-on-quarter to nearly 25%, helped by the reversal of the annual wage hike impact. It cautioned that ongoing investments in AI capabilities, talent, and partnerships could weigh on margins.
Motilal Oswal expects annualized AI services revenue to keep strong momentum, citing demand for AI-led modernisation, autonomous GBS, cybersecurity, and sovereign cloud, and LiveMint Markets said TCS may announce a second interim dividend today alongside the Q2FY27 results.
