Active ETFs drew $576 billion in year-to-date inflows

Year-to-date inflows totaled $576.0 billion for active ETFs, with 38.9% of active ETF assets under management pulled into the strategy so far this year.

The active ETF segment is pulling in major inflows as the overall ETF lineup expands, with State Street Investment Management data highlighting strong momentum in the category, according to ETF Trends.

ETF Trends reports that active ETFs recorded $576 billion in year-to-date inflows, representing 38.9% of active ETF assets under management, as of the end of September.

Within that total, about $79 billion of year-to-date inflows went to non-traditional equity active ETFs, or 13.7% of overall active ETF flows for the year so far.

ETF Trends also notes that U.S. derivative income ETFs total $51.6 billion and defined outcome ETFs drive $11.7 billion within that non-traditional equity slice.
