Former FTX COO criticizes Netflix trailer for inaccurate FTX portrayal

Constance Wang, who joined FTX in early 2019 and later became co-CEO, said the series depicts the exchange’s collapse differently from what she experienced.

Former FTX COO Constance Wang criticized Netflix’s upcoming FTX limited series “The Altruists,” saying the trailer misrepresents how the exchange’s collapse unfolded.

The Block reports Wang reacted to the two-minute trailer by saying it left her feeling physically unwell, and she added that the “place” she worked looked nothing like what was shown.

Wang also said the trailer’s portrayal of figures including Sam Bankman-Fried and Caroline Ellison bore little resemblance to her experience.

According to The Block, “The Altruists” is an eight-episode limited series that premieres on Netflix on Nov. 19, following the trailer’s release this week.
