HSBC and Ant Digital test AI-agent micropayments with tokenized deposits
The trial used HSBC’s Tokenised Deposit Service and Ant Digital’s Anvita Flow, settling transactions in real time on a blockchain testnet with risk checks.
HSBC and Ant Digital Technologies tested a system intended to let AI agents discover digital services and make micropayments using tokenized bank deposits, with settlement handled in real time. Cointelegraph reports the transactions were conducted on a blockchain testnet during the trial.
The test combined HSBC’s Tokenised Deposit Service with Ant Digital’s Anvita Flow network, which is designed to help AI agents find and use services. The setup also relied on the Jovay Testnet, described as a layer-2 blockchain testing environment.
HSBC provided settlement capabilities and real-time risk checks as part of the demonstration, according to the announcement highlighted by Cointelegraph.
