Blur to shut down after monthly Ethereum NFT trading collapses

CoinDesk reports monthly trading for Blur fell from about $1.43 billion at its 2023 peak to under $7 million before it planned to close on Nov. 12.

CoinDesk reports that Blur, once one of the largest Ethereum NFT marketplaces, will shut down and close its website on Nov. 12.

The outlet says Blur’s monthly trading fell from about $1.43 billion at its 2023 peak to under $7 million.

CoinDesk adds that the shutdown comes about ten days after sister project Blast announced its own shutdown.

The report also frames the closure as a response to volumes collapsing, with Blur shutting down following a 99% drop in activity from its peak.
