China tightens export curbs on Japanese defense research institutes

China blacklisted four Japanese government defense research institutes and expanded restrictions to dozens more Japanese firms.

China moved to tighten export controls affecting Japan's defense and technology supply chain, blacklisting four Japanese government defense research institutes, according to CNBC Economy.

The outlet said the measures also placed dozens of additional Japanese firms under more stringent export restrictions.
