Hong Kong plans to require MTR to build Pak Shek Kok station by 2033
Hong Kong authorities said the project is set to be funded through permission for MTR to build and sell private flats near the station.
Hong Kong authorities have outlined plans to require MTR Corporation to build the delayed Pak Shek Kok station on the East Rail line, with an opening date as early as 2033, according to SCMP Economy.
The Development Bureau said the project would be financed by allowing MTR to build and sell private flats near the new station, aimed at boosting connectivity for a planned tech hub.
