XRP holds near $1.10 as traders await confirmation of a breakout
XRP is defending the $1.00 to $1.05 support zone, but chart resistance around $1.088 to $1.091 and $1.20 to $1.25 has limited follow through.
CoinDesk reports that XRP is trading around $1.09 to $1.10, with buyers repeatedly defending the $1.00 to $1.05 support zone while sellers cap rallies below nearby resistance.
Chart analysts cited by CoinDesk said longer-term patterns, including a falling wedge and an ascending channel, remain intact as long as XRP holds above $1.00 to $1.05, but a confirmed breakout has not yet occurred.
CoinDesk notes that upside levels that traders are watching include resistance clearance near $1.088 to $1.091 followed by a move toward the $1.20 to $1.25 area, with larger target projections extending to prior highs near $3.65 if the longer-term downtrend is broken.
The outlet also pointed to intraday price and volume swings, including a brief push above $1.088 resistance during a breakout attempt and a print of 688,000 XRP on that move, about 120% above the session average, before momentum faded.
