Kraken to add AI investing assistant and goal-based recommendations

Kraken says its AI will monitor markets and generate suggested portfolios using users’ risk tolerance and financial profile, while requiring approval before any trade.

Kraken plans to overhaul its mobile app with AI-powered investing tools as the crypto exchange expands beyond basic trading, according to a company announcement highlighted by Cointelegraph. The redesign is set to start with users setting financial goals and preferences, so the app can tailor recommendations and the interface to those objectives.

The exchange said its so-called “financial intelligence” will continuously monitor markets, identify investment opportunities and recommend trades, but it will not execute transactions on its own. Kraken emphasized that every trade recommendation must be approved by the user before a trade is placed, positioning the system as decision support rather than autonomous trading.

Cointelegraph reports the app will help users pursue goals such as buying a home, saving for retirement and building an emergency fund. It also said the app uses information such as user risk tolerance, funding preferences and financial profile to generate a suggested portfolio for users to review and adjust.

After users invest, Kraken’s AI is expected to deliver personalized portfolio updates and investment suggestions tied to each user’s holdings, Cointelegraph said. The company’s chief data officer, Kamo Asatryan, told CNBC the goal is to give everyday investors market awareness similar to what active traders get, using plain language.
