UAE crude output hits record 4.1 million bpd in June
Production rose from 3.3 million bpd in May after the UAE left OPEC and began ramping up, with exports moving via routes outside the Strait of Hormuz.
The United Arab Emirates produced 4.1 million barrels per day of crude oil in June, a record high, according to estimates cited by the International Energy Agency.
The UAE’s output climbed from 3.3 million bpd in May to 4.1 million bpd in June after leaving OPEC effective May 1 and starting to increase production.
The higher level also compares with the UAE’s March 2026 output at the start of the Hormuz crisis, and it surpassed a prior record of about 4 million bpd in the spring of 2020 during an OPEC+ market share battle.
To adjust to disruption of the Strait of Hormuz earlier in June, the UAE has reportedly increased exports by sending tankers through the strait while also offering crude grades for loading offshore at Fujairah and at Sohar in Oman. ADNOC also plans for a new West-East 1 pipeline to be operational next year, aimed at doubling export capacity through Fujairah.
