Binance futures volume jumps 80% in June to $1.61T
June futures volume rose to $1.61 trillion, versus $893 billion in May, while Binance spot volume fell to $3 trillion in Q2, the weakest quarter in two years.
Binance futures trading volume surged in June, reaching $1.61 trillion, an 80% jump from May’s $893 billion, according to Cointelegraph.
The spike also left Binance ahead of major competitors, as OKX recorded $609 billion in June futures volume and Bybit logged $434 billion, both higher than their May totals.
Cointelegraph reports the move comes despite broader crypto trading staying weak. In Q2 2026, total CEX futures volume fell to $15.7 trillion, down 11% from $17.6 trillion in Q1.
Spot markets faced a deeper slowdown, with CEX spot volume dropping to $3 trillion in Q2, the weakest quarter in two years and an 18.9% decline from Q1, while Binance’s spot market share slipped from 27% to 24%.
