Dochterman launches integrated cyber risk and CMMC program for manufacturers

The program ties CyberCube analytics and RCS CMMC 2.0 support to cyber insurance placement, aiming to cut premiums by factoring in an enhanced security posture.

Dochterman Insurance, a commercial broker focused on the US manufacturing sector, launched a fully integrated cyber risk program that combines CyberCube’s cyber risk analytics with IT assessment and CMMC 2.0 compliance services from Resource Computer Solutions (RCS). The broker said the offering gives manufacturers a single point of contact to identify cyber risks, remediate vulnerabilities, support federal compliance certification, and place insurance, replacing what it described as the need to coordinate multiple vendors.

The rollout comes as the US Department of Defense enforces Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification, or CMMC 2.0, across its supply chain. Phase 1 requirements for contractors took effect November 10, 2025, and Phase 2 begins November 10, 2026, requiring third-party certification for most contracts involving Controlled Unclassified Information, with manufacturers that fail to certify becoming ineligible to bid on or retain DoD work.

Dochterman said it uses CyberCube tools, including Broking Manager, Prep Module, and Cyber Connect, to model potential financial losses tied to threats such as ransomware, operational disruptions, and supply chain attacks in order to quantify a manufacturer’s cyber exposure. RCS evaluates security using NIST 800-171 controls and manages remediation and documentation needed for CMMC certification.

The broker added that it designed the cyber insurance policy using both risk data and the client’s enhanced security posture, and it noted the program can provide discounts on insurance premiums. Dochterman CEO Michael Dochterman said manufacturers often lack internal resources to achieve compliance and can find the process disruptive, while the program is intended to run those steps through a dedicated team focused on shop floor realities.
