Economists and tech leaders urge stronger AI policy response
A coalition of nearly 200 economists and technology leaders is calling on policymakers to do more work to understand and respond to potential disruptions from artificial intelligence, the New York Times reports.
The group’s letter argues that governments should take a more active role in addressing how AI could affect the economy and society, including risks from rapid deployment and changing labor and business dynamics.
