Fitch lifts Canopius Re outlook to positive, affirms A rating

Fitch said the change reflects its expectation that the Canopius Group will continue strengthening its credit profile.

Fitch Ratings has improved the outlook for Canopius Reinsurance Limited, the Bermuda-based reinsurance arm within the Canopius Group, moving the outlook from Stable to Positive.

At the same time, Fitch reaffirmed Canopius Reinsurance Limited’s Insurer Financial Strength rating at ‘A’ (Strong).

Reinsurance News said Fitch’s positive outlook decision is based on its expectation that the Canopius Group will keep strengthening its overall credit strength.
