China Q2 GDP growth cools to weakest pace in three and a half years
China’s economy slowed in the April to June quarter, with Q2 GDP growth cooling to 0.9% quarter over quarter, matching expectations and down from 1.3% in the prior period, according to Forexlive.
On a year over year basis, Q2 GDP rose 4.3%, which was below market expectations of 4.5% and marked a drop from Q1’s 5.0%.
The slowdown leaves H1 2026 national urban surveyed unemployment averaging 5.2%, the outlet said.
