Czech Republic orders ISPs to block Polymarket within 15 days

The Czech Finance Ministry added the prediction market site to a blacklist under the country’s Gambling Act, which requires ISP blocking within 15 days of the listing.

The Czech Republic’s Finance Ministry has ordered internet service providers to block access to Polymarket, adding the platform to its blacklist of unauthorized online gambling websites.

Under the Gambling Act, ISPs must block listed sites within 15 days of the ministry publishing the provider name, according to Cointelegraph.

Polymarket is described as a prediction market where users trade contracts linked to the outcomes of future events.

The move follows broader European scrutiny of prediction markets, with outlets including The Block noting that other jurisdictions have targeted these platforms over unlicensed gambling concerns.
