JPMorgan, BlackRock and Goldman join DTCC tokenization trial
The DTCC is running a trial to convert stocks and Treasurys into digital tokens using its distribution and settlement infrastructure.
The Wall Street Journal Markets reports that the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation, or DTCC, is launching a trial run with major Wall Street firms to convert assets into digital tokens.
The initial group includes JPMorgan, BlackRock, and Goldman, according to the report.
DTCC’s effort targets tokenization of both stocks and U.S. Treasurys, with the trial designed to test how the process could work inside existing market infrastructure.
