Archer Aviation leases 501K SF campus in Morgan Hill, California
The five-building Cochrane Technology Center, completed in May 2024, was vacant until Archer leased it all.
Air taxi developer Archer Aviation has leased a 501,000-square-foot technology campus in Morgan Hill, California, south of San Jose, according to The Mercury News.
Archer leased the newly built, five-building Cochrane Technology Center at 18105-18265 De Paul Drive, a deal tied to its plans to connect Miami, West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, and Fort Lauderdale with 12 vertiports that support flying taxi operations.
The 30-acre site was built as a spec project by Trammell Crow Co. and JV partner CBRE Investment Management, and general contractor Millie & Severson completed the campus in May 2024 before it sat empty until Archer took all five buildings.
The buildings range from 74,000 square feet to 138,000 square feet and each includes 4,000 amps of power, a specification Archer said supports power-hungry industrial manufacturing as eVTOL operations scale, with Archer also pointing to ongoing company expansion across the past year.
