Chiron Real Estate shifts strategy toward tech-enabled senior housing
The company, formerly focused on Global Medical REIT outpatient properties, is seeking newer senior housing assets aimed at younger clients.
Chiron Real Estate Inc, listed on the NYSE as XRN, is reframing its business as it starts a new chapter beyond its prior focus as Global Medical REIT, according to an interview at Nareit’s REITweek: 2026 Investor Conference in New York, June 1 to 4.
CEO Mark Decker, Jr. said the strategy includes expanding beyond outpatient medical properties into adjacent areas within the broader health care and senior living ecosystem.
Decker highlighted an interest in newer, tech-enabled senior housing properties that would appeal to a younger cohort of clients, describing it as “my mom’s senior housing, not my grandmother’s.”
