PartnerRe appoints Ankur Gupta as CEO for its India operation

Gupta, who has more than 20 years in reinsurance, primary insurance and broking, joins PartnerRe after nine years at Munich Re, most recently leading client management in India.

Bermuda-based reinsurer PartnerRe has appointed Ankur Gupta as Chief Executive Officer for its India operation, the company said.

Gupta brings more than 20 years of experience across reinsurance, primary insurance and broking, and will take on the India leadership role at PartnerRe.

He joins from Munich Re, where he spent nine years and most recently served as Head of Client Management, Munich Re India.

Before Munich Re, Gupta held senior leadership roles at ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company, including serving as Vice President for the International Business Group, PartnerRe said.
