QBE appoints Alistair Nappin to lead outward reinsurance in London
Nappin will oversee QBE International’s outward reinsurance strategy across the UK, Europe, and Asia, reporting to Stephanie Cryer.
QBE has hired Alistair Nappin from Munich Re to become Head of Outward Reinsurance for its International Division, with a base in London, Reinsurance News reported.
Nappin is expected to join next year, subject to regulatory approvals, and will report to Stephanie Cryer, Chief Underwriting Officer for QBE International.
He will take over responsibility for QBE’s outward reinsurance strategy covering the UK, Europe, and Asia. The appointment brings nearly two decades of insurance industry experience, including his current roles at Munich Re overseeing ceded reinsurance and underwriting strategy for the company’s Global Specialty Insurance unit.
Cryer said Nappin’s experience will be an asset to the team and that his contribution will support QBE International’s continued success.
