US FAS opens applications for Vietnam agribusiness trade mission
The mission runs Nov. 9-12 in Ho Chi Minh City and aims to link US exporters with buyers from Vietnam and Cambodia during meetings and site visits.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) is accepting applications for its Agribusiness Trade Mission to Vietnam, with the deadline set for July 27. The program will be held in Ho Chi Minh City from Nov. 9-12.
According to World Grain, the mission will connect US agribusiness exporters with potential buyers from Vietnam and Cambodia through site visits and targeted business to business meetings. FAS staff also will host networking events and provide market briefings during the trip.
The FAS highlighted Vietnam as a key destination for US agriculture, saying it is the seventh-largest export market for US farm products, valued at $5.6 billion in 2025. The agency pointed to rising incomes and rapidly growing GDP, along with expanding food processing, hospitality, and retail sectors.
World Grain also noted related industry focus on grain storage and handling improvements, including efficiency-driven projects. It cited a June 16 tour of Ag Growth International’s facility in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, tied to the Grain Elevator and Processing Society international board agenda.
