SALIC moves full control of National Grain Co. to SABIL
SALIC said it bought the remaining 50% stake in National Grain Co. to secure full ownership before transferring control to its SABIL unit.
SALIC transferred ownership of the National Grain Co. to the National Grain Supply Co. (SABIL) in a ceremony held at Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in Riyadh, according to World Grain.
The Saudi Agriculture & Livestock Investment Co. said the move is part of a strategy to integrate grain sourcing, storage, logistics, and distribution into a single national ecosystem.
SALIC, the agricultural arm of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, added that it acquired the remaining 50% stake in National Grain Co. to secure full ownership before moving it to SABIL.
World Grain reports SALIC said National Grain Co. will remain a separate legal entity wholly owned by SABIL, supporting Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.
