US Dollar Index holds near 100 after Trump’s primetime address
The DXY was last up 0.01% on the day at 100.73 as Trump prepared to release classified evaluations on election system vulnerabilities.
FXStreet said US President Donald Trump is delivering a primetime address from the White House on Friday and will publish classified US evaluations describing ballot-counting systems as susceptible to compromise by China and other countries.
In the same coverage, FXStreet cited claims that China obtained 220 million US voter records and that intelligence indicates China created a data exploitation unit for the effort, while documents are set to be released starting tonight.
FXStreet also noted that at the time of writing, the US Dollar Index (DXY) was up 0.01% on the day at 100.73, referencing ongoing US-China tensions that began in 2018 with tariff actions and continued through the Phase One trade deal signed in January 2020.
