Fire-hit Wang Fuk Court owners press for compensation details
The government-appointed Hop On Management Company held a live-broadcast owners meeting on Sunday, despite homeowners saying a key building examination report is missing from the agenda.
Homeowners at Wang Fuk Court in Hong Kong, a fire-hit estate that followed a months-long wait for an extraordinary general meeting, are seeking answers on compensation and the condition of their flats, according to SCMP Economy.
SCMP Economy reports that Hop On Management Company, the government-appointed administrator of Wang Fuk Court, arranged the Sunday meeting to cover items including progress on the handover from former incorporated owners and the latest situation with Wang Chi House.
The outlet said the meeting agenda does not include a crucial building examination report that homeowners consider important, and that Hop On is using community locations for the discussion.
The building affected, Wang Fuk Court, was the only one of eight towers spared in the blaze that killed 168 people last November, SCMP Economy added.
