Russia launches major ballistic missile barrage over Kyiv
The attack involved 41 missiles, damaging homes, warehouses, a supermarket, and a dormitory, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said.
Russia carried out one of its biggest ballistic missile barrages of the war against Kyiv overnight, President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Sunday, according to Reuters.
Zelensky said the strikes killed at least one person and wounded 16 others. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko added that three people were in serious condition.
Damage was reported across several districts, including residential buildings, warehouses, a supermarket, and a dormitory. Reuters reported emergency workers at one site sifted through smouldering debris after explosions tore through apartments.
In western Kyiv, a resident identified as Vlad told reporters that a blast blew off his balcony door and smashed him in the head. Reuters also said strikes destroyed an underground pedestrian passage near a frequently targeted metro station, leaving rubble.
