B HODL says buybacks boosted gross BTC per share versus BTC buys

In its first week of repurchases, the UK-listed firm retired 823,400 shares and reported a post-cancellation 8.1% gap versus the value of its 166.487 BTC holdings.

CryptoSlate reports that UK-listed Bitcoin treasury company B HODL Plc tested a buyback approach intended to increase Bitcoin exposure per share when the company trades at a discount to the Bitcoin it holds.

According to the outlet, B HODL paid about £37,985 before fees to retire 823,400 shares, and said this generated roughly 24% more gross sats-per-share accretion per pound than using the same cash to buy Bitcoin at a comparison price.

CryptoSlate also notes that B HODL’s official dashboard on July 19 showed 166.487 BTC alongside a 5.25 pence share price and a £7.385 million market capitalization, with the BTC holdings valued at about £8.031 million, leaving a roughly £646,000 gap.

The report says B HODL’s £100,000 buyback authorization took effect July 9, with disclosed purchases totaling 823,400 shares at a weighted average of 4.613 pence, using about 38% of the authorization before fees, while the company kept an at-the-market issuance program open under its Bitcoin-mNAV framework.
