Instacart signs 7-year lease for 26,134 sf at 111 W 33rd
The deal, signed in Q2 2026 at $75 per square foot, brings 111 West 33rd Street to 100 percent leased after Hansa Biopharma also took space.
Instacart has signed a seven-year lease for 26,134 square feet at Empire State Realty Trust’s 111 West 33rd Street in Midtown, Commercial Observer reported. The lease was signed during the second quarter of 2026 at an asking rent of $75 per square foot, according to ESRT.
Commercial Observer also reported that the same building is fully leased after biopharmaceutical company Hansa Biopharma inked a 7,052-square-foot lease at 111 West 33rd Street. ESRT said the building, a 26-story property, reached 100 percent occupancy.
ESRT additionally noted that its building at 1350 Broadway is also 100 percent leased. The outlet said it is unclear whether Instacart will permanently exit its prior 50 West 23rd Street sublease space.
Built in 1954, 111 West 33rd Street is located a block from the Empire State Building and serves as ESRT’s corporate headquarters, with tenants that include Clearview Healthcare Partners and the Penta Group. Commercial Observer said Instacart was represented by CBRE and Hansa Biopharma by Newmark, while ESRT and the landlord were represented in the transactions by teams from ESRT and Newmark.
