Anderson Family Properties secures $550M refi for Century City offices

The financing, led by Wells Fargo and involving J.P. Morgan Chase, is expected to close Oct. 15 and will retire about $300 million of existing debt.

Anderson Family Properties is set to close a $550 million refinancing for its 940,000-square-foot Century City office campus at 1800 and 1900 Avenue of the Stars in Los Angeles, according to Commercial Observer, citing CoStar.

Commercial Observer reports that Wells Fargo led the financing with J.P. Morgan Chase. The commercial mortgage-backed securities loan is expected to close Oct. 15 and will retire about $300 million of existing debt, fund tenant-related obligations, and allow ownership to pull $219 million from the property.

The campus is 95.5 percent leased following a $205 million renovation completed in 2025, Commercial Observer adds, citing CoStar. About 875,000 square feet of leases have been signed since 2022, with rents averaging roughly 32 percent above prior agreements.

Commercial Observer also notes that Ares Management is the largest tenant, occupying more than 206,000 square feet through 2036. Other tenants listed include law firms Jeffer Mangels & Mitchell, Milbank, Irell & Manella, and BakerHostetl.
