Peter Brandt targets Oct. 4 for Bitcoin cycle low
The analyst also says Bitcoin could dip below $50,000, potentially into the high $40,000s, before a 2026 bottom.
Cointelegraph reports veteran trader Peter Brandt expects Bitcoin to hit the bottom of its current market cycle on October 4, 2026, pointing to a specific date for a potential turn.
Brandt said Bitcoin could fall below $50,000 and possibly reach the high $40,000 range before it establishes the cycle low, arguing prior bear markets have typically involved 80 percent or larger corrections.
He pushed back on views that current price levels around $60,000 already represent the bottom, saying optimism is still too high and describing a scenario where more traders would shift away from Bitcoin if the selloff continues.
Brandt also questioned whether the AI trade can keep running indefinitely, adding that he expects buying AI stocks at current prices may not perform as well over the next two to three years, and said he would split new funds between Bitcoin and precious metals.
