Powerloom Ethereum bridge deadline set for July 21 shutdown
Ethereum bridge withdrawals for Powerloom assets must be completed by 6:00 AM UTC July 21, while reward claims, unstaking, and node burns ended on July 16.
Powerloom, a blockchain network for decentralized data infrastructure, is scheduled to halt permanently at 6:00 AM UTC on July 21, leaving users with less than a day to exit through its Ethereum bridge. CryptoSlate reports that as of press time, the project’s wind-down page still shows the bridge as active and urges users to initiate a withdrawal via the bridge and complete the claim on Ethereum before the cutoff.
The bridge route applies only to POWER or other transferable assets that are already available for transfer on Powerloom. CryptoSlate says reward claims, unstaking, and node burns closed when mint.powerloom.network went offline at 6:00 AM UTC on July 16, and any remaining funds tied to those dashboard workflows cannot be recovered.
Powerloom also warned that once the underlying chain is retired, the Arbitrum-based bridge will stop functioning because it no longer has a live source chain to connect to. CryptoSlate notes the project says ERC-20 POWER held on Ethereum is separate from the shutdown, with its on-chain contract described as immutable and remaining accessible even after Powerloom stops producing blocks.
The July 21 deadline underscores the dependency that bridges require, where exit options can disappear even if the destination network continues running. CryptoSlate further reports that in a June 15 wind-down announcement, Powerloom’s founders said they concluded the project lacked a sustainable operating model, sufficient resources, and continued ecosystem demand to support the network long term.
