Strategy raises $263.5M via MSTR stock sales while holding 843,775 BTC
The cash reserve rose to $3.225 billion, up 7.5% from $3 billion a week earlier, after its July 13 to July 19 ATM sales.
Strategy raised $263.5 million through sales of its MSTR Class A common stock under an at-the-market program between July 13 and July 19, according to a Form 8-K filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, while keeping its Bitcoin treasury unchanged.
The company reported making no Bitcoin purchases or sales during the period, leaving its holdings at 843,775 BTC, acquired for a total purchase price of $63.69 billion, with an average acquisition cost of $75,476 as cited on its website. Bitcoin last traded at roughly $64,657.
Following its latest 2.73 million MSTR share sale, Strategy increased its US dollar reserve to $3.225 billion, up 7.5% from $3.0 billion a week earlier. The reserve includes expected, unsettled proceeds from MSTR stock sales and is used to fund preferred stock dividends and interest on its outstanding debt.
Investors were also weighing the value of Strategy’s STRC preferred stock offerings, which the company has increasingly used alongside common stock sales to support its Bitcoin treasury strategy. Strategy reported no sales under preferred stock ATM programs in the same reporting period, and it said it still has about $23.5 billion of remaining capacity under its common stock ATM program.
