Benchmark retail diesel price jumps again, reaching $5.134 per gallon

The benchmark retail diesel price rose again, reaching $5.134 per gallon, after the U.S. Energy Information Administration updated its DOE/EIA measure effective Monday.
According to the report, the price climbed 33.8 cents per gallon to $5.134 per gallon, marking the second-largest weekly increase since the start of the Iran conflict.
The latest move followed a big surge two weeks earlier, leaving the benchmark up 55.6 cents per gallon versus three weeks ago, as retail pricing adjusts after changes in ultra low sulfur diesel futures on the CME.
