Bitcoin briefly tops $67,000 as US crypto law optimism boosts prices

Bitcoin briefly climbed above $67,000 and Ether neared $1,950, while analysts pointed to slowing AI-linked equity trading as potential capital rotation.

Cointelegraph reports that cryptocurrency prices rose on Tuesday, with Bitcoin briefly climbing above $67,000 and Ether nearing $1,950 as sentiment improved around US crypto legislation.

Crypto-related equities also jumped, with Coinbase shares up 12%, American Bitcoin up 14%, and Cipher Digital up 17%, reflecting stronger demand for digital-asset exposure.

The move followed comments from US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent that lawmakers are at the “1-yard line” on the CLARITY Act, a proposal that would define the regulatory roles of the SEC and the CFTC for digital assets.

Cointelegraph also cites analysts who said crypto could benefit if investors rotate out of AI-linked stocks, pointing to a pullback in AI trades and noting that the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index had fallen more than 20% from its recent high, pushing it into a technical bear market.
