Calare buys 42,000-square-foot Boston industrial flex building
The 42,000-square-foot property at One Westinghouse Plaza is nearly 50% leased, with 24,000 square feet available for long-term tenants as Calare rolls out a capital improvement plan.
Calare Properties has acquired One Westinghouse Plaza Building K, a 42,000-square-foot industrial warehouse and flex condominium in Boston’s Hyde Park neighborhood, according to ConnectCRE.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The building is part of a 22-acre, 10-building industrial and mixed-use campus with a manufacturing history dating to the early 1900s, and 128 CRE brokered the transaction.
ConnectCRE said the property is nearly 50% leased to a long-term tenant. Calare is positioning the remaining 24,000 square feet for new occupants seeking long-term leasing in a Boston market where quality industrial space is scarce.
ConnectCRE also reported that Calare is executing a capital improvement plan and highlighted the rarity of industrial buildings of this scale in Boston, citing the scarcity as a key driver of its acquisition strategy.
