Coinbase attributes July 14 trading and card outage to config change
Coinbase said user funds were not at risk and that stuck, in-flight transactions were completed after service resumed.
Coinbase said a “low-risk” configuration change was behind its July 14 outage that disrupted trading and card transactions for about 50 minutes, according to The Block.
The exchange said user funds were never at risk and that transactions that were stuck “in-flight” were completed once services were restored.
Coinbase added that the incident did not put customer balances in jeopardy, and the affected activity cleared after the outage window ended.
